Dutch foreign correspondent based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Writer, radiojournalist & videographer. Her work has been widely published by: Time Magazine, The Telegraph Magazine and The New York Times, to name a few. She works as a correspondent for Belgium and Dutch radio & tv, doing both feature stories and live crossings.

In 2012 she won first prize in the World Press Photo Multimedia Contest, the Picture of The Year International Multimedia Issue Reporting Award & the Lumix Multimedia Award.
